Xtreme+ is a versatile platform including Trunk, Splice, and Pigtail cassettes that make terminating fiber cables fast and economical. They feature superior protection, strain relief, and fiber routing of individual fibers in a fully enclosed cassette. The clear cover allows for easy fiber mapping and identification. The cassettes are designed to be installed from the front or rear of the patch panel, allowing the technician to work off-cabinet to ease installation labor. Pre-managed fibers virtually eliminate panel dress out and the associated risk of damage to individual fibers and connectors during installation. They can be installed in any Opticonx Xtreme series wall mount or rack mount patch panel, and can be retrofitted to most LGX type panels with an optional mounting kit.
Opticonx Fiber Optic Patch Cords are used to interconnect network switches, storage devices and fiber optic networks within a structured cabling system. Patch cords and pigtails feature advanced polishing and termination techniques and are 100% tested to industry leading insertion and return loss specifications. They are available with OM1, OM2, OM3, OM4, and OS2 fiber types, with LC, SC, ST, FC, and hybrid (mixed connectors) versions. LC patch cords and MPO jumpers are available with a tool-less polarity switchable feature. Polarity changes can be made in the field in seconds. Stock and custom lengths are available for quick turnaround.
Cable assemblies terminated on only one end are commonly referred to as pigtails. These assemblies are most often used for fusion splicing, or when terminating the second end to a device.
Opticonx Fiber Optic Pigtails are manufactured with either multimode or singlemode fiber and are terminated with a variety of connectors including SC, SC/APC, LC, LC/APC, FC, FC/APC, MTP®/MPO. Other connector types available upon request.
Performance is guaranteed as all assemblies are tested for insertion loss and reflectance.
Opticonx patch panels offer high density and occupy minimal rack and/or wall space. Panels accept Opticonx MAP series adapter plates in low, medium and high density configurations. Every fiber adapter option is supported. They are fully customizable and feature patch and cabling compartments, removable front and rear doors for easy cable access and integrated front and rear cable management. FBC series rack mount panels are available in 1U, 2U and 4U rack heights that can accomodate 6 to 288 fibers. FBC panels also accept P3Link Xtreme Modules.
Splitter Kits, Breakout Kits and UB Kits are essential components for management, protection and direct termination of a variety of fiber optic cables. Designed for simple and easy breakout, kits are used with singlemode and multimode 250µm, 900µm, 12 fiber ribbons and 12 fiber bundles with each kit designed for a specific application.
Opticonx manufactures a complete line of fiber optic cables for applications in LAN/Campus, CATV/Telco, Data Center, Interconnect, and OEM markets. In addition to our standard product offering, we can custom manufacture to specific requirements and specifications unique to your application and intended use.
Opticonx manufactures a complete line of furcation/breakout tubing for use in manufacturing cable assemblies, harnesses, and trunk cables. We produce may different styles for breaking out a wide variety of fibers from 250 and 900 um fibers to ribbon and micro-distribution bundles and cables. Cables can then be terminated with LC, SC, ST, or MTP/MPO Connects. All furcation tubing is available in 12 standard, stocked colors. Materials include PVC, Hytrel, PVDF and LSZH.
A clean connector end face is essential to a working fiber optic network. Dust and contaminates can increase insertion loss and link loss putting your link loss budgets out of specification. All connectors should be cleaned, onsite, just prior to plugging them into active devices, passive patch panels, and interconnection points. These LC, SC and MTP/MPO kits include an adapter for cleaning both connectors themselves and internal connectors installed in adapters.
